people are literally becoming homeless bc of how high their medical bills are……this is fucking dangerous

“I went from upper-middle class – amongst attorneys and surgeons, and hosting study sessions – to homelessness, seeking shelter wherever it might be. I also gained a fear for my education,” she told ABC News.

people in the middle class are one tragedy away from becoming the poor, the very poor the rich seem to look down upon. THAT is how it is in america. 

I was actually thinking about this in class……. the way the economy is going these days, there might not even be a middle class anymore….just rich and poor. Idk it was just me contemplating, hopefully that won’t become a reality tho

sadly, that is the trend. our middle class IS disappearing.

because both middle and the poor aren’t being paid enough, and with automation taking over in a lot of retail and manufacturing jobs, there isn’t enough money circulation (it’s all being sent to the very very top).

the middle class is simply living comfortably right now, but there is no longer an upward ladder. the “ladder” is rusted and the rungs are falling off and the middle class is just hanging on there watching others fall of the ladder with debt and bills and claiming that “they just aren’t working hard enough”

they are seriously moments away from becoming the poor, and a lot of people don’t realize that and keep voting for people like trump who are doing the very same thing that is KILLING the middle class.

money distribution from the poor and the middle to the very top LIMITS money circulation in main street. if people aren’t buying, people aren’t spending. people aren’t spending, businesses get shut down. sadly, it just keeps getting worse and worse as years go by.

I’m worried articles like this (and I’ve seen a lot lately) are only being published to help normalize and acclimate people to the fact that homelessness and starvation and suffering is happening as a direct result of our policies and unwillingness to progress or change. And that the poor can make the best of it with hard work and a positive attitude.

This isn’t to knock her achievements, which are amazing.
