also i hate when nonblack ppl on here use aave to seem “scarier” if that makes sense? like they think a certain way of talking is more intimidating and aggressive and it’s hm, interesting
They always use it to sound
1. More intimidating
2. More reckless
3. Sexually aggressiveWhich is all you need to know about what they think of us. That’s my main problem with non-Black people using AAVE. Their use of it mirrors the stereotypes that they associate with us. It makes *our* language seem “dirtier” or inferior because they use it in shitty contexts.
