Rather than just disciplining kids, HLF helps them learn ways of coping with stress and frustration. That’s pretty brilliant if you ask us.

It’s so frustrating that this really is such an amazing and uncommon response… kids ain’t just acting out for no reason, and giving them the space to calm down, burn off excess energy in a calming restful manner, and a chance to speak about things like a regular human being… of course it works!

I hope this becomes a wider practice, especially when you just think about the existence of the school to prison pipeline. 90% of the time, if time and energy were invested in these kids, there’d be no reason to suspend or give them detention at this age.
