Also like, the reason kweer elders are elders isn’t just because they’re old and “elders should be respected” (no faster way to get me to not respect you btw), it’s because they’ve lived through pretty much everything relevant to our struggles. 

So, if you think being older makes you more worth listening to, you’re wrong. I don’t care what you think just because you’re thirty, your lived experience informs your status as an elder, and so do your accomplishments. 

Elders are coincidentally older people because they lived through the aids crisis (and a lot of other shit) and have long resumes of community organizing and other activism. 

Having an MA in queer studies and being 28 doesn’t make you a fucking elder.
