i wish ppl would stop reblogging pics of cats pressing their heads against walls or the ground because thats a sign of prosencephalon disease, a metabolic disorder, a primary or secondary tumor (in the brain), head trauma or an infection of the nervous system

like. its not really a good sign and yeah it looks kinda funny but that cat is probably dealing with something and the owners (or whoever took the picture) most likely didnt/dont know and thought it was just funny and its sad 😦

yes, sometimes cat press their head against things for other reasons, but images like this:

(btw YES DOGS DO THIS TOO GET THEM TO A VET)

and so on are spread around the internet and seen as cute because the cat looks “relatable” and stuff

cats (and dogs) should NOT be pressing their head against a wall (or the floor, though a wall is what they do more) like this – rubbing their head against things, sure, that’s fine, but pressing their forehead against the wall/floor and sitting or laying there is NOT NORMAL and they need immediate attention because those are symptoms for the things i have listed above

if your cat or dog is doing this, please try to get them to the vet as soon as possible because this can be extremely serious, don’t take pictures of them and post it online for the notes when your cat needs your help
