Honestly. I want to consume something gay that’s either so obscure or the characters are just so ugly or weird or like, are in some way in-consumable. I want to watch gay men in love without thinking that straight women would call them uwu sinner babies. I want to watch lesbians in love without thinking that straight men would jack off to them. I constantly feel under this homophobic gaze to the point where I can rarely enjoy gay media anymore. I desperately want something that doesn’t remind me that through the mirror of this gay person, I exist to be consumed just like them.
