It’s so weird when you take a step back from loving being gay and realize that being, looking and acting “gay” isn’t a good thing to everyone like… “You look like a lesbian” is supposed to be an insult and “that movie was so gay” is supposed to indicate that a movie was particularly bad. Meanwhile, I would be delighted if someone told me I looked like a lesbian because I try my best to not look straight, and I wish there were far more movies that I could call gay. “Gay” is a standard I aspire towards and simultaneously a standard that most people hate. What sad, boring lives straight people must live.
