i really don’t get where this “ancient egyptians weren’t black” thing came from cuz it’s like you tellin me that every other country in africa that surrounds egypt was full of niggas but just in that one spot they were like…nah. and actually i do know where it comes from because egypt is often considered to be the “”“"gem of africa”“”“ and people can’t let black people be responsible for something amazing within africa because then they can’t use the “you would be living in mud huts if we didn’t save you” thing and would have to admit that they actually fucked every thing up. that’s also why they downplay how advanced africa as a whole was pre colonization but that’s just a guess.

also this mind set is also what played into the the enslavement of africans in the americas because (white) people enforced this idea that black people were incapable intellectually of taking care of themselves and the slave owners were actually doing them a favor cuz other wise they would have died out. and this idea of being uncivilized brutes was used post slavery (and by post slavery i mean it was still legal and there were still work around i.e share cropping and prison slavery) to justify the stereotyping of black people as violent and needing to be put in cages like rabid dogs or just killed in the street.
