i remember i worked at burger king a few years ago and somehow -probably from someone who worked there – $3000 got stolen out of the register. two managers on duty. you think corporate said no big deal and covered it, no both the managers had to split $1500 out of their paychecks. corporations dont give a fuck what happens at the store they just want their money. go steal some shitty makeup from walmart but just know you’re not taking the money from sam waltons 700 grandkids, you’re taking it from whoever was on duty when you walked out the door

And no, its not “illegal” for them to garnish the wages of an employee, its not only perfectly legal in the US, they will fucking do it. We’ve been telling y’all that for fucking years and you keep stealing because you think retail workers are just lying to you. 

Stop stealing or don’t be suprised when a worker fucking beats you into the hospital for destroying their lives. 

I work part time in a grocery store and it’s literally written in my working contract that if I have a deficit in my register (more than 5€ missing) they’ll take that money from my next pay

When I worked at walmart we did inventory every year in January and my store was missing $5,000 so they took it from our bonus and then they just fired a lot of people to make up for it so no when you shop lift you hurt the workers not the corporation and fuck you if you shop lift.
