Also, news flash: The orginal Nazis didn’t call themselves Nazis, either (except for a period when some tried to “reclaim” the word). “Nazi” was an insult that basically meant “stupid hick” (based on a common rural name)–and which just happened to also work as an abbreviation of “National Socialist.”
