no offense but why cant yall handle people rejecting your apologies with dignity

i cant believe i had to deal with this for the second time now, but you cant expect people to be nicer to you and forgive you just because you apologized.

if you stepped out of line and hurt them, why the fuck would you assume that they would be nice to you about it.

expecting them to immediately forgive you and suppress their anger because you felt bad is just a show of self entitlement and a lack of humility. you can’t handle being confronted for the shit you did and actually being reprimanded for your disgusting behavior makes you uncomfortable.

If you apologize for the sake of forgiveness rather than for the sake of the person you have hurt, then you ae not apologizing. That is not being sorry and you are not being reorseful, you are trying to rid yourself of your own guilt and trying to force the person who you hurt to wipe he slate clean for you, and it makes you an asshole.
