if a straight girl has a conflict with a lesbian she is forced to be in close proximity to due to being roommates or teammates, she is given the benefit of the doubt of being right and is always sympathized with by other straight people. from the straight perspective, the situation is already seen as a burden to the straight girl – that she is FORCED to deal with a lesbian and must occupy the same spaces as a lesbian constantly. straight people already assume the lesbian is either inherently creepy or inherently a huge inconvenience if they are out and proud of their identity, forcing the straight girl to have to constantly acknowledge and coexist with lesbianism. i hate that even if ive done nothing wrong im perceived as a nuance. i hate that straight people really act like straight girls who have to come into contact with lesbians like this whether it be by random room assignment in college or sharing locker rooms in a sports team are a victim of the Big Scary Lesbian that no one should really have to deal with.
