Do people realize or understand that when people say they are tired of the desexualized, strong woman that don’t need no man, sassing black women, and that black woman can be feminine, vulnerable, or show weakness, and can fall in love with men or be damsels in distress, that does not mean that we are saying that all black women should become like this? Remember there is nothing inherently wrong with the feminine woman or the strong woman who kicks ass. And there are women that are a mixture of the two. Feminism (Egalitarianism) was supposed to be about having the choice. And being confined to a racist stereotype(s) is not having a choice. There is nothing wrong with expanding and allowing black women to be portrayed in different lights, okay?
