i don’t usually do this because i’m terrible at putting this whole thing into words and all but right now some things are going on in venezuela and i feel like i’m required to use my platform; however small it might be, to raise my voice against injustice. over the course of the past 90 days, my people have been in resistance, going out in the streets and protesting because the government of nicolas maduro has driven us into crises. i’m not going deep into details about what all is going on in regards to that, but it goes along the lines of thousands dying to the hands of crime, of starvation and due to lack of medicine. the economy has collapsed on itself a couple of times, nowadays the average working class venezuelan can’t afford to feed themselves and their families. what i truly want to bring your attention to, however, is the blatant violation of human rights that’s going on. the government officials have disregarded the constitution entirely and the gnb (national bolivarian guard aka the military) are out there in the streets starting the riots, slaughtering the youth and taking no responsibility whatsoever as the left uses every media possible to blame it on the right. about 80 or so young people have been murdered by an organism that is supposed to be apolitical and with the people. we’re being killed and we’re being censored. i want to denounce nicolas maduro is a dictator. he is an oppressor and a bold-faced liar calling to an inexistent peace as my people are being mercilessly murdered on his command. venezuela hurts, families mourn the death of their children (some underage, might i add). we’re not okay, nothing is under control as the left would like everyone to believe.
