yeah you gotta be a real dumbass to ask “well how can someone be heterosexual and asexual” since heterosexual describes WHO you are attracted to like every other fuckin sexuality and asexual describes a level of attraction.
like i briefly subscribed to the split attraction model and then it dawned me “why am i doing this” like for example if a gay man says that he’s a homosexual he’s not saying “i only want to have sex with men but not date them” he’s saying that on all levels of attraction he’s interested in men. the whole split attraction model is seeking to redefine terms that don’t need to change for the sake of ????? it actively is taking terms that have forever meant an all encompassing attraction essentially and are attempting to separate romantic and sexual feelings and assign terms to them. it’s jus weird and the implications of a minor having to talk about and separate their sexual and romantic feeling for the sake of some fucked up ass attraction model is just really disturbing.
