Politics isn’t a game of aesthetics, it’s the real world and real people’s lives are at stake. If you hold onto your political beliefs as a hobby, or for some sort of aesthetic, you’re bound to end up hurting those you pretend to care for in the end, because what you really care about is exploiting these people for social capital, not bettering their lives.
