I see posts that are so chill like “I love blocking people on this site, it’s so calming” and people reblog it and tag it “wish i could,”

Like please. Just. Block. People. Turn off anon. Logout and do something else. You have the ability to curate your online experiences and nothing on this fucking website or any other virtual space is worth your Actual Mental Health.

Block people and mean it. Don’t check their blog to see if they’re vagueing you. Don’t look through their tweets to see if they continued the drama there.

Block people. Turn off Anon. Log off.

Seriously it shouldn’t have to be all that but take control of your destiny and give yourself a fucking break. Stop!!! Putting up!!!! With bullshit!!!!!

people are responding to this with comments about this being difficult for neurodivergent people, and well yeah!

Of course it’s difficult to let go of negativity when you have a mental illness that so often has you wallowing in negativity!

But being able to eventually cut yourself off from the things that cause you to feel that way is a crucial step to recovery.

Recovery can be hard. It can mean sacrificing things and stepping away from unhealthy coping mechanisms into foreign territory 100 miles outside of your comfort zone.

But it’s necessary.
