Thank your for your interest in the net we really appreciate it but we do not believe that people that are both aro and ace are a part of the community…unless they are not cis.
We have several ace members that are also homoromantic and or non binary, but if you are just aro ace and cis we might not think this is the most appropriate net for you.
We are strongly a sex and romance positive group that believes that the LGBT moment is based upon wanting the right to love have sex and show gender expression freely. Asexuality and aromanticism doesn’t seem to exactly go with ideals.
We are sorry we can not be the right space for you but strongly encourage you to make your own space that can be inviting to other aro and or ace people or there are plenty of other lgbt nets who have ideals different than us. I don’t have a list of the other nets but I’d be happy to include them in a reblog for you below.

I don’t think you understand asexuality and aromanticism. You can be ace and be sex positive. You can be aro and want romance/like the idea of it.

I actually have read up on this since there has been a lot of discourse about it recently and my best friend is aro ace but the net as a whole still believe that if your are cis and identify as aro and ace that this isn’t the most appropriate and safe net for you.

No offense but statements like this is why asexuals and aros alike don’t feel accepted in the lgbt community and society in general. People assume we’re some other species that needs to be sheltered and that we’re innocent and will combust if we go near anything inappropriate.
I don’t want to pm you separately about this subject because if you’re speaking for the whole of the net like you say you are, and /everyone/ agrees, then people need to know.

A is for closeted lgbt people so they have a safe space without outing themselves going as allies. Ace aro people dont face actual oppression for being ace aro. Theyre not denied jobs for being ace aro. Theyre not being evicted for being ace aro. Theyre not being arrested or murdered or tortured. Theyre not being oppressed dude. No ones saying yall cant have ur own community but we dont want cishet aces in our community bc of the homophobia and transphobianthey bring with them. This is a safe space for us and we dont want people who harm us in that space how hard is that to understand

The way it was made out to be is that no ace/aros should join whether they’re nonbinary or binary.
Which is what I had an issue with because the lgbt community is about unity.

Except you seem to be the one who has the misunderstanding. No one is saying ace or aro folks don’t belong in the LGBT community, they just have to be LGBT.
