i hope y’all realize now that getting help and seeking ways to better yourself and doing small things for your mental health does a world of good and doesn’t make you “as bad as the neurotypicals.” stop enabling bad and toxic behavior for the sake of creating a “safe space uwu” you’re not helping people at this point, it’s literally just a breeding ground for eventual bad behavior and honestly it does more harm than good. mental illness isn’t inherently bad and doesn’t make you a bad person but recovery isn’t bad and stop demonizing people for wanting to. i’ve seen way too many people encourage bad behavior because “you should embrace it” like. stop.

#also have to remember that a lot of kids / young teenagers use this website and are very impressionable

good addition

Acceptance is the first step into recovery. You have to accept you have x and y symptoms and you have to learn about them and you have to admit to yourself whenever you have and experience, carry out or show negative, harmful symptoms.

But accepting an embracing are not enough, people accepting themselves and their reality is Good, but That is not all there is to recovery, it’s an intricate process of accepting your symptoms, all of them, and finding ways to manage and cope with them in a healthy, unharmful to the ailed, manner, finding the root to said symptom and combating it with a professional to help you through it, and if you have no access to one, detect it, and find healthier coping mechanism that don’t hurt you.
