whitewashing is vile in any case but theres something extra alarming abt seeing white washed edits for idols known for having particularly dark skin like for example seeing ppl white wash luna or hyorin or yuri or sooyoung (just to name a few) is really messed up to me, bc its that extra level of intent plus the fact u know someone sat there on their computer dialling that brightness as far as they could like not even a little just full throttle with thoughts like “ehhh its not white enough ill keep going” “ahh finally they look pretty”. it just really gets to me
