The biggest homophobes are not secretly gay. The biggest transphobes are not secretly trans. Yeah, a person around the huge ‘phobes day in day out will sometimes pretend to be like them and adapt to their situation, but they are not the “biggest” and they are NOT as common as people try to say. The biggest homophobes are straight people. The biggest transphobes are cis people. A claim to the opposite is trying to blame homophobia/transphobia on us instead of the people who created it.
And, before anyone tries throwing the “but studies show!!” shit, the 1996 study is inherently flawed and the 2012 study says children who are in homophobic households will pretend to be homophobic to survive. They are not supportive of what you’re claiming.
