My father in law needs $1100 fucking dollars to even TRY to stay in the US and even begin to try and fight against being deported and having no way to work legally in the United States since apparently the type of work permit he has is ending in January bc of the change in administration

My mother in law has her citizenship as of a few years ago, but she has no way to support her children (an eight year old, a ten year old, a thirteen year old, a seventeen year old).

There’s literally nobody else in the world but us that they can ask for the money. So my wife said yes and we’re going to put $1100 more on the credit cards, which basically maxes them out!

And as y’all know, we just had a new baby a month ago, and we have a two year old child.

I hate to ask this–we’ve come close to having to ask because of how horrifically expensive a work required relocation was but literally I was skipping meals instead, and without the help of a very incredible friend, I would have had no food for me. (There was food still set aside for the toddler, that I absolutely won’t touch because… she neees to eat, that’s the priority.)

Any money will go towards just trying to get the debt back down or to necessities in the meantime. I’m so glad we’re in a position where we might be able to keep my wife’s father from being deported, especially since my oldest brother in law was deported a couple years back. But this is a real blow and is happening at an awful time.

What I’m trying to say is, if you want to help, I’d be grateful. Please don’t put yourself in a hard position trying to be kind, I know we’ll pull through this.

After talking to the lawyer, the next step (and hopefully the bulk of the cost) will be a minimum of $4000. After this, we’re expecting the costs to be just incidentals–gas and things like that.

I don’t wanna be like ‘oh if every one of my followers just have a single dollar we’d be fine!’ because I know that everyone is struggling financially and we’ve been blown away by the love and support we’ve gotten, but if you can help, please.

We have no choice but to come up with the money somehow, some way, because there’s a not insignificant chance that deportation could get Apa killed.

I’m already setting up appointments to sell blood as is my wife, but the less we have to pay out of pocket, the more we have for fun things like ‘being able to eat’, which I’m pretty fond of.
