White people’s favourite pastime when discussing race on any social platform:
-Moving goalposts
-Bringing up black-on-black crime as if
-a. they actually care about black on black crime
-b. it’s relevant to the conversation (it’s usually not)
-Cherry-picking Martin Luther King Jr. quotes (it’s always the same 2 or 3)
-Comparing BLM to the KKK and neo-Nazis
– “If I’m so racist then how come [insert some form of bare minimum interaction with a black person in their daily lives]”
– “Why do you people always have to make everything about race”
– “If things are really that bad then why don’t you go back to where you came from?”
A few more off the top of my head:
– Presenting cherry-picked statistics with either shoddy methodology or stripped entirely of their original context and then falling back on “I’m not racist, I’m just stating the facts. Facts aren’t racist”
– *copy/pasting the Stormfront copypasta.* (you know the one)
– Bringing up welfare
– Accusing Affirmative Action of being racist
