hi guys!! If you live in the USA, it’s VOTING PREP TIME!! 

Midterm elections in the USA will be held TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 7, 2017. That’s one month from now! Here are some resources to help you vote! 

REGISTER TO VOTE: https://vote.gov/ 

• If you are already registered, check to make sure you have all the documents necessary to vote in person, or apply today for an absentee ballot if you qualify! 

WHO’S RUNNING IN MY AREA?  http://www.vote411.org/

• This is a tool run by League of Women’s Voters which supplies detailed information on who is running, their platforms and their positions. Type in your address to find your local elections and decide who you want to vote for!

• Make sure you know where you’re going on Tuesday Nov 7th!

• There are no federal protections on voting leave. However, most states have laws that protect their citizens in exercising their civic duty. Check to see what yours are. 

MAKE A PLAN TO VOTE.

• If you’re voting absentee, apply for your ballot.
• If you’re voting in person, figure out how you’re getting to your polling place. Walking? Biking? Do you need a ride? Make sure you can get there day of.

• The Election Assistance Commission is a bipartisan commission established to help people vote. The website has FAQs, translations and plenty of other information!

Let’s get the word out! Midterm and local elections are key to directing resources, controlling police forces and protecting your rights. They are your chance to influence how your community is run – and how it influences other communities. States hold enormous power against the federal government, and this is our chance to make them represent us. Let’s make our voices heard.
