Yes, the internet is a “public” place but NO ONE is ENTITLED to someone’s life or whatever small bits and pieces they choose to share online. Anyone at any time for any reason has EVERY right to block someone. There literally doesn’t even have to be a real “reason.” I really wish people didn’t have a sense of entitlement when it came to people’s social media. If someone simply decides that they want to block someone from seeing their posts, THEY HAVE EVERY RIGHT TO BLOCK YOU. THEY DO NOT OWE YOU AN EXPLANATION. Especially if you’re someone from the internet that doesn’t even know them personally. Sometimes people just don’t care to see certain interactions in their notifications and blocking the actively participating people just cleans up some of the notifications they don’t want to see. It’s really not rocket science and it’s really not a conspiracy. If you do not have an intimate personal relationship with someone then they do not owe you any explanation as to why they chose to block you online. It’s just Tumblr. Literally like who cares lol and if you really don’t like someone as a blogger, person, or the content that they produce then you really aren’t missing out on seeing anything you want to read anyway.
