Stop saying Kevin Spacey “set back LGBT people” broadly; his actions will be interpreted by those who already believe this as proof that gay men SPECIFICALLY are more likely to be sexual predators and especially pedophiles.

Frankly, I find it distressing to see this being made about tropes around LGBT people broadly when this trope has been most prominently about gay men for years. I am not surprised, considering how many among us hate gay men for any number of stupid reasons almost all stemming from homophobia- but we can acknowledge the way these tropes are used to marginalize all of us while acknowledging that their primary target is absolutely gay men.
