It’s really so… annoying trying to enjoy shit while being black and in particular kpop cuz no matter how great the group is the fact that there’s definitely some people in the group or production team or w/e that actively hate blackness is really daunting. Like there’s a reason why the girls are always skinny with zero body and super pale and get harassed even if they are half a shade darker than the other girls. It’s really just like with anything from video games to shows to whatever. Being black and enjoying any of these things means knowing that someone in involved despises blackness and it’s going to show through in a macro or micro aggression at some point. Especially with any sort of media but especially asian media as a whole cuz yall REALLY love our shit but hate us even more lmfao.
