Interesting that this statement implies the app was open to trans women, but everything I’ve heard from everyone claims that the app has a habit of banning trans women.

They claim to be 100% inclusive of trans women, but their moderation processes are…shitty from all the accounts I’ve come across. Essentially, in their TOS they assert that anyone caught lying/setting up fraudulent accounts/profiles will be banned, so transmisogynists report the fuck out of trans women and claim we’re creepy men who have snuck onto their service, and cause us to get suspended until we can prove we are who/what we say we are. 

If we can’t provide ID proving that (which is fucking hard to get), or if we’ve been reported and suspended enough times previously…at least from what I’ve heard from a lot of other trans women who have been banned…then essentially they stop caring. They make it clear that it’s not their responsibility to determine if claims made in reports are real or not, but that they will generally put in effort on most cases. So even if we DO have ID proving we are who we say we are, if we get reported enough, they, from what I hear, stop investigating and just move to permaban.

Really exploitable, essentially. And the only explanation for this still happening while trans men are welcomed is that HER is all wrapped up in cissexism and transmisogyny

I do know some trans women who have been lucky and haven’t been reported/banned, but I’ve known about the same amount of trans women who HAVE and have eventually been kicked off the service. It’s anecdotal, of course, and I’ve never had an account with them due to them requiring my govt ID which I thought was bullshit, but when there’s apparently a significant chance of being bullied off the app by transmisogynists with no recourse or aid from the app…that’s not good. And certainly doesn’t cast it as a welcoming, inclusive space for trans women.
