This is getting on my fucking nerves, so I’m just going to say it here:

Adults who need high levels of support in daily living are not children.

“Mental age” is a concept rooted in eugenics, and it doesn’t actually exist.

No one should be robbed of agency or dignity because of their need for support.

Oh, also, while we’re at it (since disability rights activism that doesn’t tackle age-related oppression is bullshit), kids deserve to be treated with respect too. Shouldn’t be a controversial statement, but it is.

Most people neglect to mention this, but if “being treated like a child” equates to “being robbed of agency and dignity,” there’s something fundamentally wrong with the way we treat children.

Here’s what Donald Trump doesn’t want you to know: ACA open enrollment begins TODAY!

Spread the word and #GetCovered.

Also, the time to enroll has been CUT IN HALF. They tried to kill off the ACA, but could only manage to damage it.

*****You have until Dec. 15! Don’t delay!*****

[Image: tweet by user Andy Slavitt @ASlavitt with text that reads,

“It’s on! 2018 ACA enrollment has begun.

80% can find plans under $75/month. Go to healthcare.gov.

Spread the word.”]

Yeah so Tr*mp is planning on shrinking two national monuments in Utah that is sacred to Native Americans. Why is it so sacred? Because Native American tribes can trace the land back to the birth and burial sites of their ancestors from centuries ago. Revoking this national monument designation would allow Utah to sell the land to oil and gas companies to make profit off the beautiful land. You know what type of president we have when statues of racist slave owners should be protected but millions of acres of Native American land shouldn’t.

This land is a pretty big deal y’all. It’s super important to native tribes and it also has paleontological fossil records dating back 300 million years ago. If oil corporations decide to buy this land, hundreds of fossils and artifacts can be destroyed. This administration is full of monsters.
