Kicked out by transphobic parents and need help.

funhometurnedmegay:

Hey everyone,

My name is Robin, and I am a 20 year old Trans Lesbian living in Vancouver. I came out as trans around a year and a half ago and my parents have not taken it easily. At first they made vague comments about not wanting me in the house, and it led me to believe I was being kicked out however my parents and I talked and I was simply given a list of restrictions to follow (no wearing skirts, painting nails, etc.) Now months later, the time has come and I have to be out on my own by September 30th, and I am no longer welcome in my household. My parents see my post grad and coming out as a family disappointment, and can’t bring themselves to be in the same household as me if I am to make it any further in my transition.

I am going to be left on my own as far as payments for hormone medications, and general living expenses with very little savings due to these unforeseen circumstances.

I have set up a PayPal, and while I hate to be asking for donations unfortunately this is where it has come to.

Any donations or shares for this post are appreciated. I’m still in shock and left without much notice.
