Yes the man who will legalize weed and gave us as child tax benefit of 500 a month per child is the same as the other politicians. God good is it any wonder why so many cynical small minded people don’t vote? Anti-establishment for the sake of anti-establishment is new Emo.

Lets cut the BS fluff and have a fair view of what the Trudeau government is. It is not all roses and lollypops (and I’m not saying he hasn’t done any good, he certainly has but he’s also done a lot of BS). There’s a lot of backtracking and breaking of key promises, and disdain for Indigenous people in general despite his promises to the opposite.
Yes. But as an American, I’d like to point out OUR president is FUCKIN’ TRUMP. Trudeau is a -dream- by comparison.
That doesn’t matter. Trudeau and his BS decisions don’t fucking get a pass because your leader is Satan incarnate.
HOLD LEADERS ACCOUNTABLE. No ifs, ands or buts. No ‘but the US is worse’, no ‘but Donald Trump’.
I’m so tired of spending all this time on this blog trying to make people give a damn about the major social issues in Canada and people throwing all that aside because ‘lol we have trump’.
I’m sure all the First Nations people dealing with lack of medical care, clean water and fighting a pipeline in court aren’t sitting around saying “at least we don’t have Trump”…:
@allthecanadianpolitics please don’t forget the absolute nightmare of a commission for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women. http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/manitoba/morene-gabriel-fired-mmiwg-national-inquiry-1.4403906 A staff member was fired almost immediately for suggesting they take better steps in helping all the families who have to testify deal with the reopened trauma. Not to mention how the whole commission is constantly being delayed. How many change of staff have we had over the course of the 2 years? Amid all this, first nations are still being ignored and our recommendations overlooked.
We also have the feds siding with open-net fish farms even after the disaster down in Washington state and the fish-farm occupation and protests.
Yeah I didn’t even go into the MMIW inquiry, which unfortunately has been plagued with many issues.
And to be clear I do, and have long supported a Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women inquiry, but this one has been a disaster from day one. More than 20 staff have been fired or resigned since its inception. Many families and notable indigenous people in Canada are calling for a hard reset for the inquiry to get it back on track, and I’m inclined to agree.
And, yeah open-net fish farms are definitely a concern. Accidents do happen, and its entirely possible for these fish to be released and cause great harm to the native species that fisheries and First Nations rely on.
