Firefighters, nurses, teachers, lawyers, massage therapists, barbers,
psychologists and real estate brokers have all had their credentials
suspended or revoked.
these laws are super shitty but it looks like some states who still have them on the books are choosing not to enforce them.
Hawaii, Alaska, Iowa, Mass. and Washington don’t enforce them. Other states recently removed/made theirs powerless with bipartisan support (Oklahoma, New Jersey, Montana), so i feel like there’s hope to be had.
In the meantime, pressure your state lawmakers over crap like this. The worst states seem to be South Dakota, Iowa, Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia, Louisiana, and Texas.
so uhhhh how you supposed to pay the loans off when you cant work because your professional license is revoked or you cant drive to/for work
if I were a book editor and someone pitched me a YA novel where heroine Blue Ivy, the daughter of The Goddess and her mortal consort, was tasked with protecting her twin siblings as she guided them through an apocalyptic hellscape toward their Destiny as the Chosen Ones, Foretold By the Prophecy, I would immediately dismiss it as unrealistic and overwrought.
my feminist goal is not to convince men that girls are of value, my feminist goal is to achieve a future where the judgement of our value isn’t in the hands of men.
